Artist Tray: Step-by-step project by JanineScraptivity

This project was created with the November 2009 Scraptivity monthly kit by Janine Rachau. It was featured in the November Notions newsletter.

- Cut 12 pieces of chipboard or cardboard 2¾x4”.

- Cut 12 pieces of coordinating patterned paper 2¾x3” (Janine used 7 Gypsies: Barcelona Catalonia and Manresa from Nov/09 Kit, Paper Trunk: Batik Alluring and Lovely, Cherry Arte: Morocco Spicey Notes & My Mind’s Eye: Bohemia Large Medallion/Orange from September/07 Kit.

- Adhere the patterned paper to the chipboard/cardboard flush to the bottom, leaving some of the top exposed.

- Cut approximately 1/3 of the way in from each side at the top of the patterned paper, leaving just a tab of exposed chipboard/cardboard at the top.

 

2009DecKit_JanineTrayWeb_4f2009DecKit_JanineTrayWeb_4g- This will serve as a tab that you may use to pull the card out whenever you wish to use the jewelry that is held by the card.

- Punch little holes with a crop-o-dile for pin ends or earring hooks.

- Place slits at the top for light necklaces.

- Put pieces in place and decorate as you like. (Janine used My Mind’s Eye: Bohemia Bliss Butterfly/Hot Pink and Bella Bird/Light Blue, and some additional accents.)
