<p>All this month in the Scraptiv!ty chat room the design team is focusing on fun and fast projects for summer, because lets face it, we&#8217;re all really busy right now! This month&#8217;s card sketch is sweet, simple and fast too:<br />
(click any of the images to see a larger version)</p>
<p><a href="http://scraptivity.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/Scraptivity-CS-July-2010.jpg" rel="lightbox[904]"><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-907" title="Scraptivity CS July 2010" src="http://scraptivity.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/Scraptivity-CS-July-2010-228x300.jpg" alt="Scraptivity CS July 2010" width="228" height="300" /></a></p>
<p>Here&#8217;s my take on the sketch:</p>
<p><a href="http://scraptivity.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/CS-Example-Hello.JPG" rel="lightbox[904]"><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-906" title="CS Example Hello" src="http://scraptivity.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/CS-Example-Hello-237x300.jpg" alt="CS Example Hello" width="237" height="300" /></a></p>
<p>As you can see, there is a hole punched in the front of the card, so the embellishment can be placed on the inside, but seen through the outside of the card, too.</p>
<p><a href="http://scraptivity.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/Sketch-Example-Inside.JPG" rel="lightbox[904]"><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-908" title="Sketch Example Inside" src="http://scraptivity.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/Sketch-Example-Inside-300x206.jpg" alt="Sketch Example Inside" width="300" height="206" /></a></p>
<p>Now, time to announce the winner from the card sketch contest I held last month. The winner is Catherine with this bright and summery card:</p>
<p><a href="http://scraptivity.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/Sketch-Winner.jpg" rel="lightbox[904]"><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-905" title="Sketch Winner" src="http://scraptivity.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/Sketch-Winner-300x224.jpg" alt="Sketch Winner" width="300" height="224" /></a></p>
<p>Congrats Catherine! E-mail me at potaylor@hotmail.com with your address so I can mail you your prize.</p>

<p>June&#8217;s card sketch is sweet and simple and filled with possibilities. I loved pairing it with the papers from this month&#8217;s kit.</p>
<div>
<div style="text-align: center;">Here&#8217;s the sketch:</div>
<div><a href="http://scraptivity.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/Scraptivity-CS-June.jpg" rel="lightbox[781]"><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-783" title="Scraptivity CS June" src="http://scraptivity.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/Scraptivity-CS-June-228x300.jpg" alt="Scraptivity CS June" width="228" height="300" /></a></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">Here&#8217;s my take:</div>

<div><a href="http://scraptivity.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/Happy-Birthday-from-CSJune20101.JPG" rel="lightbox[781]"><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-784" title="Happy Birthday from CSJune2010" src="http://scraptivity.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/Happy-Birthday-from-CSJune20101-262x300.jpg" alt="Happy Birthday from CSJune2010" width="262" height="300" /></a></div>

<div> </div>
<div>I&#8217;d love to see what you do with this sketch. I&#8217;ve got a little RAK to send to someone who tries their hand at this sketch. Here are the rules:</div>
<div>1. Use the sketch above (you can flip it and change it a bit, but I still need to be able to recognize it).</div>
<div>2. For an added challenge, your card must have some stamping on it.</div>
<div>3. Post your card to the <a title="This external link will open in a new window" href="http://www.scraptivity.com/show/index.php" target="_new">S! gallery here </a>and post a comment on this blog letting me know you&#8217;ve entered a card.</div>
<div>4. Do all this by JULY 10.</div>
<div>5. Check this blog again on JULY 20. I&#8217;ll post the winner with next month&#8217;s card sketch.</div>

<p><span style="FONT-WEIGHT: bold">May Card Sketch &#8211; Focus on Flowers<br />
</span><br />
As you know, this whole month, the Design Team at Scraptiv!ty has been sharing different techniques for making hand-made flowers. You can find all of those techniques <a title="This external link will open in a new window" href="http://www.scraptivity.com/tell/viewforum.php?f=4&amp;sid=e3e5c0efdda217e5c2d880b6e39bbbc9" target="_new">here</a>, and there are still more to come. New techniques will be posted every day until the end of May. </p>
<p>Because there are so many great techniques, I designed this month&#8217;s card sketch to have one large focal image. That&#8217;s right, now you have no excuse not to try out one of those new flower techniques.</p>
<p>Here&#8217;s the sketch:</p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><a href="http://scraptivity.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/Scraptivity-CS-May-2010.jpg" rel="lightbox[681]"><img class="size-medium wp-image-682 aligncenter" title="Scraptivity CS May 2010" src="http://scraptivity.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/Scraptivity-CS-May-2010-228x300.jpg" alt="Scraptivity CS May 2010" width="228" height="300" /></a></p>
<p>and here&#8217;s my card:</p>
<p><a href="http://scraptivity.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/Just-for-you.JPG" rel="lightbox[681]"><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-683" title="Just for you" src="http://scraptivity.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/Just-for-you-227x300.jpg" alt="Just for you" width="227" height="300" /></a></p>
<p>Close-up image:</p>
<p><a href="http://scraptivity.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/Just-for-you-detail.JPG" rel="lightbox[681]"><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-684" title="Just for you detail" src="http://scraptivity.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/Just-for-you-detail-300x225.jpg" alt="Just for you detail" width="300" height="225" /></a></p>
<p>I&#8217;d love to see your flower and card creations, so if you play along why not post your card <a title="This external link will open in a new window" href="http://www.scraptivity.com/show/index.php" target="_new">here in the S! gallery</a>? I promise to oooh and ahh over it if you do!</p>
