Cut the following papers:
- 6×12” White Bazzil cardstock as base (from past S! kit). Score at 6 to form a 6×6” card.
- Vanilla cardstock –one 5×5” and one 3×3”
- Plain white cardstock 3×3” (Stephanie used Neenah)
- 2 of 1.5×4.5” pieces of Postcard paper.
- 5.25×5.25” piece of Daydream paper.
- 4×4” square piece of Daydream paper.
- Butterfly strip from bottom of Daydream paper.

1. Distress and ink all pieces except 4×4 square (Stephanie used her Heidi Swapp distressing tool (from March/09 S! kit) and Antique Linen Distress ink (available in online store).

2. Stamp Inkadooo Butterfly Scroll stamp on white cardstock with Versamark. Heat emboss with copper embossing powder. Apply Shimmerz Blingz and Opal to butterfly and flowers. Adhere Prima e. pearls to centers of flowers (March S! add-on).

3. Attach pieces to your 6×6 card base. You can glue pieces down or machine stitch like Stephanie did.

4. Cut your 12 bottom butterfly strip from the Daydream paper in half. Fold, making pleats, and snip ends.

5. To make paper rose:

Using your 4×4 piece of Daydream paper, draw a spiral as shown using a pencil.

6. Cut out spiral with scissors. Starting at the outside of the spiral, put a dab of glue on the end and start rolling (this will be the center of your paper rose). Roll up the entire spiral.

7. Your rose should look like this.

8. Let your rose loosen up a bit and then firmly squish it with your hand.

9. Apply some distress ink to the outer leaves of flower and then apply Shimmerz Blingz to flower.

10. Adhere flower and pleated strips to card as shown.

- 3 strips of 10 1/2″ x 1 1/2″ card stock (Used here: 1 Bazill Granny Smith, 2 Bazzill Cheddar)

-6 pieces of patterned paper cut 5″ x 1 1/4″ (Used here: 4 Piggy Tales 5 Little Ducks Mother Duck, 2 Piggy Tales 5 Little Ducks Play)

- Empty CD case (optional)

- 6 thin magnets cut about 1/2″ x 1/2″ (I used old freebie magnets, one from “Bob’s Auto Glass, Pizza Places, etc.)

- Assorted buttons, brads, or eyelets.

2. Fold card stock in half and adhere 1 piece of patterned paper to each out side of the card stock.

3. Attach magnets to the inside, close to the unfolded edge (Note: remember that magnets have polarity, so line up your magnets so they attract, rather than repel).

4. Embellish the non-magnet end with buttons, brads, or eyelets and ribbon.

This is a great fast gift. What’s unique about these book marks is that they are magnetic, so they not only hold your page, but also your place on the page. These can be given out individually or a packaged set of 3 in an empty CD case.

- Stamp onto tag.

- Cut 1.75×2.25” piece of Granny Smith cardstock. Add to tag in middle.

- Hand-cut a flower from Mother Duck paper. Affix Bazzill brad in center.

- Take a 3” strip cut from edge of paper (the part with the writing on it that would be discarded) and fold it around itself to make a .5” thick piece. Adhere it together so it will keep its shape.

- Affix it to back of flower. This will make your flower pop up from the ATC. You could also use a Pop-dot or 3D Glue Dot to achieve this effect.

- And here is your completed ATC!

Created with our December 2009 Kit by Janine Rachau.

- Use the back side of One Day as the base – distress & ink the edges, (I used a dark blue ink from my stash but the ink from the kit would work well also)

- Cut a 9” square of Mother Duck

- Center Mother Duck onto the base and adhere (I darkened the edges with a dark ink)

- Cut tags at various points to make a tag border, eye-balling some various sizes that fit well. Create a pattern and leave in place as you proceed to the next steps. I added two Chatterbox Fabulous tags from my stash and cut two fancy edges to a manilla tag from the kit to add a little more visual interests, …but you could easily get the same effect with just the tags included in the kit as they are.

- One by one, crinkle up each tag, and straighten it again putting them back into place so you do not have to start over arranging them.

- Ink the edges and creases of each alternate tag with the blue from our kit, and then the alternate with the green.

- Experiment with the different patterns on your tags with the penscore and the various clearsnap tips to use the “other” color on each tag. For example, if you used blue on the creases, use green to stamp. I included a few images of some of the patterns I created with the penscore for stamping.

The above photo shows a piece of the Penscore cut to fit on the acrylic piece from the Clearsnap Terrific Tool & Tips.

The following photos show different textures on penscore.

- Double mat a photo using first the opposing side of One Day, and then Granny Apple & place it in the center.

- Use some scrap strips to add some layers below where your photo will lay (I added some Magic Mesh: Dottie Ann self-adhesive mesh – lime from Scraptivity’s August 2007 kit to some kit scraps).

- First adhere the strips, then the matted photo and finally the tags so that they lay on the top a little of your photo and/or strips.

- Add an appropriate title.

Take one piece of 5 Little Ducks Collection One Day (photo 1).

Use this as your background. The design pattern from this paper inspired the Pac Man/Nintendo theme for this particular layout.

Cut a half inch wide strip 7.75” long of 5 Little Ducks Collection Play with stripes running vertically.

Place 4.5×5.5” photo diagonally on page as you wish (photo 2).

Use Memory Essentials Terrific Tool & Tips with square-shaped end to spread Color Box fluid chalk Lime Pastel ink just under photo to add a little more emphasis to lettering. By obscuring the definition of the paper underneath, I hoped to make the lettering pop out from the page a little more for emphasis (photo 2).

Cut lettering as you wish to place underneath photo on top of inked area (photos 3 & 4). Anne used the Cricut.

Place striped strip 5 Little Ducks Collection Play underneath photo. (photo 4).

Ink edges of embellishments. Place embellishments as you wish on remainder of page. Pac Man images were printed from the internet in various sizes and used to emphasize this layout theme (photo 5).

-Machine stitch with red thread around 3″ 3/4 x 4″½ Catalonia piece.

-Using Hypnotic Core’dinations Black Magic cardstock on red side, die cut title (Stephanie used Quickutz Zoe alpha and ran it through her Cuttlebug) and ink with Black Soot Distress ink (extra).

Recycled paper flowers:

Using 5 sheets of Scraptivity shipping labels / and or invoices (from your S! boxes) stack sheets together and draw circles (size will depend on size of flower you want). Stephanie used a lid and a flower bottle as a circle template.

Cut your 8 x 11 paper in half and stack together (so you have 10 pieces stacked). Cut out your circles.

Once your circle is cut out, (10 sheets stacked) cut slits around your circle.

Now separate your 10 stacked circles. This step is important so your flower petals do not stick together. Re-stack your circles.

Staple your stacked circles together in the middle.

Now with your stapled circle cupped in your hand, squeeze together and crinkle up the paper. Then fluff to form a flower (you may lose a petal or two here at this step but that’s ok).

Using Glimmer Mist from Oct /09 S! add-ons, spray your flowers, using your fingers to separate the petals for even coverage. Set paper flowers aside to dry.

Assemble your layout as shown, starting with framed, sanded Hypnotic cardstock over 7 Gypsies Catalonia paper. Adhere title to Prima packaging and adhere. Adhere matted photo. Machine stitch around layout with black thread.

Attach 12″ length of Prima lace (Nov/09 S! add-on) to bottom of Catalonia paper.

Attach paper flowers to layout with glue dots. Add a button with floss (extra).

Attach Catalonia (reverse side) paper strips to layout with stapler.

And here’s the final product!
